Mini whiteboards are one of the quickest ways to check understanding during a lesson. They allow every pupil to answer at the same time, rather than one pupil answering while everyone else waits.
They work especially well in physics because answers can be short and focused. Pupils can write an equation, rearrange a formula, draw a force arrow, sketch a graph, label a circuit symbol or give a one-sentence explanation.
The real advantage is speed. The teacher can see mistakes immediately and respond before pupils practise the wrong method. If half the class forgets the unit, uses the wrong equation or confuses current and voltage, it can be fixed there and then.
Mini whiteboards also make lessons more active. Pupils have to think, commit to an answer and show it. This gives the teacher a much clearer picture of what the whole class understands.
Used well, mini whiteboards are not just a classroom extra. They are a simple, powerful way to increase participation, improve feedback and keep lessons moving.
